In this project, Aveca Groupe Construction handled the full backend preparation of this splendid kitchen remodel in Saint-Hubert.
We began by carefully demolishing the existing kitchen, including the old drywall and outdated ceramic flooring, to prepare the space for a complete transformation. Proper preparation is the foundation of any successful renovation, and we ensured every step met the highest standards.
To comply with updated Québec building norms, we installed new insulation along with a new vapor barrier to improve energy efficiency and long-term durability. We also relocated the range hood vent and adjusted several electrical outlets to properly accommodate the layout and functionality of the new kitchen design.
As with many of our projects, we installed a Schluter DITRA-HEAT membrane to integrate high-performance heating wires beneath the ceramic flooring. This system provides efficient radiant heat and adds exceptional comfort underfoot, especially during Québec’s colder seasons.
For the flooring, we selected modern, large-format light grey ceramic tiles with a matte finish. The large tiles create a clean, contemporary look while minimizing grout lines for a seamless appearance.
Once the structural preparation and technical work were completed, our trusted custom kitchen partner brought the final vision to life. The handleless white cabinets offer a sleek, modern, and minimalist aesthetic. Bright motion-sensor LED strips installed under the cabinets enhance visibility and functionality on the countertop workspace. An elegant off-white quartz countertop completes the design, adding warmth and refinement.
