This amazing transformation took place in Laval in a semi-detached home where the upstairs bathroom had no windows. Despite the lack of natural light, the team at Aveca Groupe Construction successfully designed a bright, modern, and highly functional space.
The bathroom layout presented certain challenges when it came to maximizing space efficiently. However, through careful planning and creative design solutions, we transformed it into a spacious and contemporary environment that feels open and inviting.
To optimize functionality for busy mornings, we installed a sleek, thinner above-ground double-sink vanity, perfectly designed to accommodate both him and her. The floating cabinet, installed at the same level as the vanity, provides additional storage while maintaining a seamless and cohesive look. This wall-mounted design enhances the sense of space and keeps the floor area visually open.
Lighting was a key element in this project. We incorporated ultra-bright LED pot lights to ensure maximum brightness throughout the room, making the absence of a window virtually unnoticeable. To further elevate the ambiance, we installed an RGB LED strip beneath the vanity, allowing the user to customize the lighting mood according to preference — from relaxing evening tones to vibrant daytime settings.
For ultimate comfort, we also added a smart thermostat connected to the homeowner’s phone to control the heated flooring system. This feature provides efficient temperature control and ensures warm, cozy floors during Québec’s colder seasons.
